I'm running Live 6.0.5 on a nice Dell XPS M1210, minimum background tasks, with an EMU 0404 USB. Frequently, when monitoring, whether audio, MIDI or VSTs, the audio breaks up and then goes silent. Not helped by increasing buffer sizes. Interesting thing is I do not need to reset my hardware - I just click the Live CPU meter to turn audio off and when I switch on again, un-broken audio is restored. However, messing around editing MIDI clips and trying different instrument racks is causing me to do this very frequently. Any ideas as to what is going on?

EMU 0404 USB Problem
i think i have the same problem.
i have an emu 0404 usb and sometimes the sounds go off. sometimes Live crash directly.
then i cannot put the sounds back so i must to reset my machine.
i have an HP NX6320 laptop.
I don´t know if the problems is my soundcard or what...
i have lastest drivers for every device in my WinXP SP2.
Using Ableton 6.0.10
