session drums is about 28gb i have read and all togehter i think ableton suite is 44gb so yeh

The installation size of the Essential Instrument Collection 2 is 15 GB.

The boxed version of Ableton Suite requires 44 GB of hard drive space.

If you have concerns or a smaller HD in a laptop (like me) then you might want to consider the download version as Session Drums and EIC2 which take up the bulk of that 44 GB are not included and for some (like me) they are not needed (I already have EIC 1 which I don't use much and have a lot of sample content on my external drive which is easily dragged into a drum rack or Impulse) - the download version of Live 7 suite is single digits GBs.

Yeah not much room left on my external drive. I have Colossus (about 33GB) which I realized is basically the same as EIC2, so maybe I will replace Colossus with EIC2. Session drums I can do without.

I'm leaning toward buying the boxed version not because I really need Session drums and EIC but rather because I like to have a paper manual and to buy the manual seperate from the d/l version ends up being only like $60 less than just buying everything.
