I have a MacBook running Tiger and a Sony Vaio laptop running XP Pro SP2. On both Live6 and NI Reaktor 5 are installed. I use Reaktor inside Live as VST(i). I come up to couple of qiuestions, maybe to advanced users, maybe to developers.
1. On MacBook: i start Live6 then plug in my USB Novation remote 25 SL, Live6 detects it on the fly and i can work with it right on. On Windows xp Live6 does not etect my USB device while running, i have to exit Live, then run Live again to get USB midi working. So it's kinda ... hmm... strange.
2. On MacBook: I open Live6 with two chanels, one MIDI and another Audio. In Midi chanel i put reaktor5 FX, then i load Travellizer in reaktor. Travellizer is device which can process samples in realtime. So i record some audio from input of my soundcard. Then i need to load this recorded sample in reactor, so i open reaktors UI, press load sample, it loads ok and i can process it in reaktor. On Windows XP i cannot do this. Reaktor cannot load recorded sample, it says that Error happened while loading sample..... blah blah.
But when i SAVE this ableton project and then reopen it i CAN load this recorded sample in Reactor.
it's not bad it's kinda strange. Maybe i have to ask this question in NI forums ?
