this update has lots of new features like scripting (via java and javascript), new oscillators and spectral processing modules.
however, the most exciting new feature for us live users is probably rewire slave mode. this means that max/msp can be tightly integrated with live 4.0, since max also can receive midi data from live!
amazing how things suddenly fit together so well

I played with Max/MSP 4.0 and Live 4b yesterday, and liked it a lot. I should be getting the getting the Max/MSP upgrade soon, now if I save my pennies for the Live 4 update...

Anyone know of a way to have Max control Live's tempo, but still maitain it's slave status vis a vis rewire? Or maybe not even have it rewired, just controlling tempo. I'm think specifically about creating some kind of patch that extracts tempo info from a drummer and sends that info to live to sync the tempo.
