How to install Library after prompt is gone?

When I first launched Live 6 and Live 7, they asked me where to install the Library. I didn't want it to mess with my Live 5 Library, so I selected "run without Library".

OK, so now I'm ready to install the Library for Live 6 and Live 7, but it doesn't prompt me about the Library anymore.

If I go here:

Preferences -> Live Packs -> Search for Live Packs -> Basics

and install that. Is that the complete default Library? Or should I look somewhere else? Or download Live 6 and 7 again so it will prompt me again? I just want to make sure I'm installing everything.

Hi Icedsushi,

In the preferences, go to the "Files/Folder" panel: there's a section about your library where you can select your library folder.

I think that only selects where your library will live. I don't think it installs the presets and sounds. I do think the Basics is the one you want.

Oh, sorry, I misunderstood the question. Yes, TroyP is right, you need the Basics Live Pack. Additionally, if you have any of the AAS instruments (Analog, Electric or Tension), you can download preset packs for those from the website (www.ableton.com/livepacks).

Well, I trashed Live 7 and downloaded it fresh again so that I'd get the prompt. I got the prompt when I first launched it and installed the basic packs.

But so that I know for the future. How do you install the library contents without re-installing Live? Is it "Basics" and "Lessons" Live packs?

What I really want to know...is the basic Library just the Basic Live Pack in preferences?
