INTERMITTENT LATENCY ISSUES WITH LIVE 7-AMAURY?

I'm using a PC Windows XP with plenty of power. My Interface is Line 6 TONE PORT UX2...

I switched the tone port in Lives preferences to MME from DirectMusic as mentioned on this forum by someone.

I'm having intermittent latency problems with 7. Particularly when I use my Roland GR-120 as a midi controller. I didn't have this problem with 6. 7 just doesn't seem to be as tight as 6.

Sometimes the latency is several miliseconds.

If I shut down 7 and restart it, it runs ok for a while-this completely interrupts the work flow.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

The first thing to do is to use ASIO drivers, on the PC. Only ASIO drivers are able to offer low latency operation.

Searched this because im having the same problem with 7... delta 44 soundcard / oxygen8v1 keboard and intermittent latency... no probs in 6 though!
