what's up with the online sales system/team??

Post by intellijel » Fri Dec 07, 2007 6:13 pm

I submitted my order form a week ago for my live 7 upgrade but I still have not received a single reply (despite follow up e-mails as well). I know they must be busy with new orders but 1 week is a pretty long time.

I have been a loyal, legal user of Live since version 1.0, it would be nice to have some accommodation.... at the very least they could e-mail me back and let me know how long the wait might be. Instead I have received no correspondence.

anyone else having problems with their order?

Yes. It's been over a week now. I paid via PayPal and it took about 6 days to get the request to which I responded to within minutes. It's now been 3 days since payment and no serial number yet online. Not sure what is going on there but I can only assume they are slammed. Would be nice to at least get a serial number though if not my whole box.

what phone number to call? I am in canada.

I just tried calling the U>S> technical support line. The guy sounded like he was asleep and I could barely understand what he was saying. All I could gather was that he could not help me with the situation.

I got a very specific explanation by way of e-mail:
Dear Customer,

Thank you for your purchase of the Ableton Suite.

This e-mail is to inform you about the status of your order. Due to a broken machine at our manual printing company, we won't be able to ship your box before the end of the upcoming week.

We can imagine your disappointment and sincerely apologize for this delay.
Which is so mom-and-pop I just had to laugh. :) I am a little disappointed, but realistically, I'm as pressed for time as Ableton is at the moment.
