Drumracks - feedback

Post by postmixformula » Tue Dec 11, 2007 12:10 am

The drumracks are a great improvement in terms of audio. But I feel that the midi has been overlooked...:

It would be great to have the midi content of each pad visible in it's own clip. Perhaps recording it first into the main clip and then via the use of the "Chain-Mixer-Fold-Button", spooling it over to what is at present empty clip space. Then you could trigger these clips on their own or together in order to build a drum track. As well, you could re-order them into the next row, then use the "Chain-Mixer-Fold-Button" to close and create an amalgamated clip.

This would be a great leap forward for this device. I hope I haven't overlooked this feature if it exists already..

not quite,

but it is possible to create a new MIDI track for a pad's notes, by dragging the pad out to a new track..

so in that way you can separate whatever MIDI data and corresponding sounds from the drum rack, into it's own track
