any way to set up non-linear curve on EQ3?

Post by Sean S » Wed Dec 12, 2007 5:39 pm

I have an interesting question for you all.....

I love the EQ3, but I need your help in setting up my MIDI controller to act the way I want.

Ideally, I want the sweep of the frequency to be -inf to +6db, just as the default is.

however, i want 0dB to be note 64 - that is to say, cranking from 0-64 (turning the knob from all the way left to midway) will sweep from -inf to 0dB - and cranking from 65-127 (center to all the way right) will sweep from 0dB to +6dB

right now, when I have the range set from -inf to +6dB, the 0dB is near 4-o-clock. I want it to be at 12-o-clock.

thanks!

There is probably an elegant way to do it. As usual, however, I'm going to brute force it. I made a rack in Live 6 and Live 7 versions. The good thing is it is pretty tweakable as far as the knob sweeps and ranges.

Cheers.
