Burning a disc in windows media issue

Post by krspx1 » Wed Dec 12, 2007 7:45 pm

I looked before posting but I honestly couldn't find anything. Not always, but somewhat infrequently, I will throw together a rough mix, recording it all over to an audio track, then when I am satisfied I go to File-Render to Disc. Making sure my master cross fader is not on one side or the other in live, and being sure that the track I'm using is activated, I proceed to render. Next I find the track in my computer then convert audio format to mp3 so I can bump it int he car or whatever. Then when we get over to play it/burn it to disc in windows media, no audio. Just whatever the length of the track, and the title, no sound. So just searching for a solution, I've tried going back to live, creating a new audio track, then re-recording the mix from the track which failed. This works actually, but only sometimes. I can't seem to find a method or a problem in my own process to resolve this. Sometimes the track records and goes to windows media on the first try, other times I have to fool with it like this which isn't working consistently. Any clues would be much appreciated rewarded with great karma in your production factory.

I am working with ableton live 5.2.1, using a brand new sony vaio, an ozonic midi keyboard, and using windows media to burn.

What the heck.
