CC and Midi NOTE mappings - BY HAND - NOT MIDI LEARN ONLY!!

I'm sure this has been said before, but trying to do anything too complex with Midi Mappings is a real problem when having to rely on Midi learn for all midi mappings. I'm trying to setup a whole bunch of new midi mappings and its so fiddly doing all of this by Midi learn.

I want to be able to click on a mappable object, say a fader or a macro and click midi, then have the option of manually putting in the CC or midi note. Otherwise you get into so much accidentally assigning stuff, especially with any unusual controllers like a Wii, or when you are trying to do any mapping with the IAC bus / Midi Yoke to internal stuff.


Please Abes this is a real hinder to getting midi mapping done with any amount of complexity.

in 2007 manual MIDI map entry was requested for a particularly good reason: multi-axis gyroscopic controllers put out multiple CCs of MIDI almost constantly. nearly impossible to map with any accuracy without manual mapping or fiddly "hit map then shake controller a lot and then hit undo until the right parameter is mapped". add this feature please.

Hi, you could use CLyphX Pro and it's Bindings add on to write the mappings independent of Live's MIDI Mapping functionality...
