Not everything you do not understand is bullshit - even if you believe that. ;)
oh, you mean the god thing?

god is no more real than Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny or any of the other man made boogie men you lunatics have concocted over the centuries.

but please, that's a different thread, seriously, not here, we'll go argue over your god delusions elsewhere. PLEASE.

btw god told me that PCs are better than macs, it's an undeniable truth.

/this thread is dying...

Lunatics like me? You are not only narrow minded, but also pretentious and unlettered. Your example with the Easter Bunny shows that.

the Easter Bunny was a pagan figure (I forget the name, it was a 6 foot tall monster of a rabbit, northern European thing I believe) used during their Spring ritual. then the christians took over those people and to get them under control the christians incorporated the bunny into the Ascension holiday.

so yes, the Easter Bunny is a contrived imaginary figure sponsored by the christians. it's a lie, the true easter bunny is a Pagan figure.

I'm not going to stick my chest out and say I'm "lettered" but I will point out to you that's it's pretty goddamn ignorant to underestimate your 'opponent'. you don't know me, I don't know you.

what are we trying to accomplish here? if you want to banter over religion, there are already threads about the nature of god.

edit - I'm trying to pack up my apartment today for a move, I am writing quickly and being a total prick, my bad writing. FWIW I apologize for coming off way too flip. religion is a deeply personal thing, I can't deny you or disrespect your love of your god. please though, not in this thread, get it?

landser, you've gotta relax. that was just a garden-variety sounds better/does not take down, nothing to get worked up about. and why are you holding up the 80s studio as the paradigm? they sounded like crap generally, because that's when people got serious about getting rid of all the great old (tube) gear and replacing it with digital crap. i mean, point to the 60s or 70s if you have to point to something (i'm going with 70s).

and i've gotta say, in my experience, you're wrong. the studio wasn't better because of the neve/studer combo, it was mostly better because of the room/monitors/mics/pres/compressors/etc. with that kind of gear/environment and a new model AD converter, you could rule the world. put another way, what's holding the basement junkie back is not the daw/deck generally, but the basement (and the lack of finances it tends to reflect).

but keep telling yourself it's the gear, rather than your (in)ability to use it.
