Post by tellef » Sat Dec 15, 2007 8:27 am

what do i need to do in order to make tracks recorded in arrangement view show up in session view? When I record some tracks in arrangement view and change to session view what I have recorded is played when I press play, but no tracks are SHOWN in the sesion window tracks.

tracks recorded in arrangment don't just move into slots on the session view.
But if what you've recorded in arrangment you'd like to use in session.
go into arrangement, select the clip you want to use, copy the clip, and when you go back into session you can paste it on any slot you like.
Assumingly on the same track that it came from in arrangement.

or easier is click and hold the click on the track you want to move in the arrangement and then press the toggle button to get to session view and drop it straight in to where you want it

the important thing to understand is that session and arrangement view are basically two different entities and have no direct relation to eachother (contrary to what might "feel" logical to a lot of people I think. I know it does for me)

That does take some getting used to especially coming from almost any other DAW i.e mix window, edit window where things are actually related.
