launching and overlapping clips

Post by nowiknowforever » Sat Dec 15, 2007 7:59 am

Hello,
I have a live set (5.0.x) with a few clips and scenes and I would like to launch one clip and let it play for awhile then launch another clip over it. Whenever I try to launch another clip over it it stops the clip that is currently playing. (I have my MPD pads midi-mapped to the play scene button).

Is there any way I can play multiple tracks at the same time but not launch them at the same time? Thank you very much for any help...

ctrl/cmd + E disables the selected clip's play button. You can arrange your clips diagonally and disable play buttons as needed so when you launch a scene, the clips in that scene will launch without stopping those that are playing.

hi

on longer clips or songs you can set the launch mode to legato and have the song copied into a few clip slots in the same track or column -

so that when you launch a new scene it will not start playing from the beginning but from where it was previously playing in the song

does that make sense ?
