MIDI controller messages to Live in rewire slave mode.

Hi,

I'm running Live 6 running as a Rewire slave in Cubase SX (Mac OSX) acting as a Rewire host. Within Live, I can successfully edit MIDI mapping so I can control Macro parameters with rotary encoders on my MIDI controller. I can also have Live playback a MIDI sequence recorded in Cubase.

But.... I can't seem to get Live to respond to the MIDI controller messages sent from a Cubase sequence.

How can I get Cubase -> Rewire -> Live to work together with arbitrary MIDI control messages?

I'm really enjoying Live, but I really want to have automation envelopes for Live stored in Cubase sequences!

You could try virtual Midi cables (MidiYoke, MidiPipe) and send the CC via those from Cubase to Live. I don't know if you experience a limitation or a bug with Rewire, but this workaround could help.
