Live to Pro Tools
Live to Pro Tools
Hi
Tonight someone will teach me how to bring in my song in Ableton to Pro Tools. Its about 40 tracks, which will be mixed in PT.
Any suggested tasks to do in Ableton to make migration of tracks to PT work?

Not sure if I'm understanding the question. Are you asking how to get your tracks from Live and import them into PT? If so, the best way that I've found, is to select the length of your session, go to the "render to disc" option choose "all tracks". Then create a folder to store all of your audio in. In PT, just select all the files and import them as new tracks. When you enter the BPM, PT will line everything up. Voila. Hope this helps.

This way is the best option.
You could also rewire but 40 tracks is more tracks than is ideal for this.
Live has no OMF export, so rendering the all tracks option is probably best.

that's cause you selected your Desktop (technically, which is a folder) as the save location... you should "make new folder" and save in there.Sebastian wrote:Hi
I tried this. Any way to direct Ableton to dump the rendered wav files to a folder?
It scattered them all over my desktop.
Also, in PT, everything was loud and distorted, unusable
thanks
