Clear Entire Arrangement

Post by craftycurate » Mon Dec 17, 2007 10:16 pm

Is there an easy way to do this ...

I've recorded an arrangement, but want to start over, but can't find a way to remove everything - clips + all envelopes in one simple action.

For example, sometimes I click record by mistake and realise when I come to record a mix, that there is already stuff in arrangement and want to clear it all out instantly.

Is this possible?

Thanks
Richard

That doesn't seem to work - it only deletes clips, not automation envelopes.

I tried a Select All|Delete , but when I went back to Session View, the Audio Effects still had the red dots and therefore the Automation Envelopes were still there.

Just tried it and no problem here. Select All + Delete = automation curves reset!

could you start a new project if you do not need to have the effects on the tracks??

You haven't got envelope/automation lock turned on have you? It's a little padlock that appears above all the track names in the arrangement view. If it's orange, it's turned on, which means that all your envelope automations will remain even if you delete/change the content of a section of a track.

That was the issue. With padlock unselected the envelopes are deleted as well.

Thanks!

Select all (Control A Wins or Command A for Macs). Control or Command Delete. This deletes all the time highlighted which will get markers, tempo map etc.
