What did you use for creating the app? Bome, like Total Kontrol Package or anything else?

I am thinking about digging into Pure Data for programming these things, because it's said to know Sysex and runs on all platforms (Windows, Mac OS, Linux). SynthMaker can do that, but I don't know if it can build standalone plugins and don't want to spend money on it just for building control scenes.

There was this thread with the pK emulating a Monome, which was done in Visual Basic. I really wonder that no C/C++ gurus have come up with something that works on all platforms yet, but maybe everyone is waiting for Bome to finally port to Mac.

We'll have to wait for Andreas to get into the office to debug this.

The PKpref error isn't a big deal. All it does is remember the midi settings of the I/O.
Apart from that, it should work.

Did absolutely nobody on pc get this to work?
Worked fine over here but something might have gone wrong during the compiling phase.

Cheers

Could possibly be the user... I tried to mirror the set up in the screendump on your webpage in regards to inputs and outputs but it didn't work. PKsquared did not appear in any of the inputs or outputs.

I extracted this folder to my D: drive and ran it from there... Hope the above helps the debugging.

cool - tomorrow Bjorn and I will (hopefully) be able to substitute an external we're using with a home-made abstraction. Until that happens the software will be pc only, unfortunately.

cheers,
a.

So if all goes well we might be seeing the OSX version in the next day or so? I can't wait! My spare paypal balance is waiting to be sent as a thankyou when I can get my hands on this.

Machinate wrote:Hey,
we made a neat little app to control Ableton Live *properly* from a Korg PadKontrol - no need to install custom scenes or anything - just set up your midi ports once, and go!

* The lights now behave "properly"; when a note is on in Live the light stays on. If you go to a different octave range or midi channel the pad lighting will respond to the notes coming from there.
*The Encoder now transmits midi,
*The Knob assign 1 and 2 buttons are used to select octave/channel (like one would have on a regular keyboard)
*SCENE, MESSAGE, Fixed Velocity, Prog Change, Hold, Flam, Roll buttons all output midi.
* The Parameter section now navigates the session view by using Mackie Control Emulation, and you can show hide browser, clip view from the x/y/ buttons while controlling undo/redo from the pedal and setting buttons.
*App automatically saves its midi input/output settings: set and forget!
:D
Outstanding!

Darn. I won't probably be using it then... I really relied on the X/Y snapback, and I need my pedal to transmit a midi note or CC 127.

...Though I could get away with using a pedal on another midi controller...

FEATURE REQUEST: Could you "optionalize" the X/Y snapback?

Never abandoned it, my man - you just never replied to the emails ;)

This has been shelved for ages, I began the project before getting the Lemur, and obviously since then that has been our focus - this one is strictly for the community; it has been half-way finished for ages, so we trimmed it way down, added some bits and then
