Fav music creation communities?

Hi, I’ve got a newbie question related to music creation communities online.

To date, I’ve mainly participated in 1st life music creation communities (except for a brief participation in mp3.com at it’s beginning). But I’m now very interested in online collaborative music creation communities that foster concept and content development and sharing.

ccMixter looks really good in this regard. My superficial impression of GarageBand and SoundClick is that they focus on promotion of finished product; and with PumpAudio focusing on commercializing music product.

I’d love to hear any thoughts on which online music creation communities people like and why -

Thanks for the advice. I already subscribe to CDM's excellent RSS feed. Jamendo.com seems interesting, will try that and ccmixter for awhile.
