On Close, Live 7 still using Memory

Post by evon » Tue Dec 18, 2007 6:58 pm

Has anyone noticed that when closing Live 7 using the "X" Button live is still running and using memory even though the desktop has been cleared?

It has happened to me on quite a few occasions.

To solve this problem I have to reboot Windows.

I noticed it when trying to launch a rewire client and was prompted about another program running in the background, so I checked Task Manager and live was running and using 117,000 kb.

try unplugging any USB devices rather than rebooting.

Should have mentioned that to be on the safe side I use the"Quit" option in the File Menu.

Ableton needs to fix the code for the"X" Button.

i don't think this is a Live problem, but let me ask you, do you have a USB MIDI device plugged in to your computer when using Live??? if so, then do what globalgoon said. this seems to be a problem with either Windows or the USB protocol or both, i don't know actually, but this happens with a few other applications, one of them being Reaktor. it happens to me with Live and EnergyXT.
