has anybody experienced this problem

Post by Guest » Tue Aug 03, 2004 11:11 pm

almost every time I shut Live4 down, I get a error message that says
' serious program error has occurred, try to save under a new name'

but I get this even when I'm not saving anything, as I've done all the saving I need to do while working on the track, I'm just shutting down the song, or the program. Then Live is just frozen and I have to cntrl alt delete to shut it off through the task manager.

I could use some help if you got it

First of all.. Why don't you post this in the Bugs & Problems section?

Second, try these things:

-Start Ableton and quit it immediatly.. does it still crash?
-Disable audio
-Turn custom plugin folder off
-Remove Preferences.cfg
-De-install rewire programs (fruityloops/bi-dule/reason)
System:
Clevo D500p 3Ghz HT Laptop, 1 gig RAM, XP SP2, RME Multiface (ver 2.93)
Ableton Live 5.0b11

yes, i've had some 'serious error' crashes, and i think it's because i was working with sets created with some of the betas. though i'm not 100% positive about this.
