why all the warp markers

Post by stronzo1 » Wed Dec 19, 2007 10:11 pm

When I open up a long song, usually something not techno or electronic, there are a ton of yellow warp markers along with the regular beat markers. I have to manually delete all the warp markers so that I can correctly adjust the beat of the song. Why does Live put them all in? Any way to disable that, or at least to delete all warp markers in a song with one action?

Thx

hi

you can select the first warp marker and then press "shift" on your keyboard and whilst keeping it held down, select the last warp marker - by doing this you will select all the warp markers and you can press backspace/delete and they will all disappear

you can also go into the record/warp/launch folder in preferences and there is a box which gives you a yes/no option to auto warp long samples on import

cheers

One of the ways you can do this is drag the first warp marker to the first downbeat or to the beginning of the track you are wanting to manually warp.....then right click (or ctrl click for mac) on the first warp marker and a drop down will appear......select "warp from here (straight)" and all of the following warp markers will dissapear......i do recommend reading up on warp marking to find out which selection is best for different scenarios, but the warp from here (straight) is what i use most.

to delete all the markers select one of them and use Ctrl & a (select all), then press the delete key

that's what it is on a PC anyway.

or.. just de-select auto-warp in the preferences.
