Is demo the same as download update?

I've downloaded the demo of Live 7 and I'm thinking about buying it. Will I be able to use the demo plus serial code / authorisation or will I be missing something by not downloading the upgrade (eg presets, waveforms, etc?)

I upgraded to 7 using the live 7 demo. No difference, just make sure you download and install all the necessary livepacks.

the demo is the full functioning product except for save disabled and only 30 minutes of rewire. you update it straight from the demo using the serial number to get unlocked and then you get your save enabled and unlimited rewire.
