Guys this is awesome!!
I've got all things bar one working.....
The freely asignable buttons are outputting messages which is lighting up the yellow box in the furthest right top box to the right of the D on the ableton screen, having checked on MidiMonitor though the messages are sysex which control effects and pan etc.....
I wanted to assign them within live to launch some extra clips and stuff through midi learn, can this be done?
I have the mackiecontrol emulation working is this the result?
Cheers

Because this app requires 3 virtual MIDI ports.evernaut wrote:Can someone explain why the IAC driver is needed? Until I read the new manual, I didn't have it activated on my Mac and - now that I followed the instructions and have - I can't tell what's different.
Cheers
The app itself already has 2 ports. The IAC is the third port.
Its like using MIDI Yoke on pc, except that it is built into the OS.

Cool, Mike, thanks for your feedback.mike holiday wrote:Thanks again,
I'v got it working on my system..
I did receive an error message on install, but i ignored it and it seems to be working fine
Again, I hope we will find time to address some of the feature requests soon, but the agenda looks pretty insane for after christmas...

the most important to me seems the strange upside down-ness of the drum rack mapping, but i'm guessing this is done so 1-16 runs like a synth from C1, top left to bottom right.. maybe this could be an option to be flipped.. ?Machinate wrote:Cool, Mike, thanks for your feedback.mike holiday wrote:Thanks again,

thanks again guys, you've probably added a few quid on the costs of second hand padkontrols on eBay cos you've made them so much more useful!
merry xmas..

I must admit to feeling the same way, too... It shouldn't be hard to add a toggle between two different routings in there - maybe even a battle-style on-its-side layout? I did the routing like that because that was the way data was being received over sysex and because that's also the way the labelling was done on the unit ("Pad 1-16")nobbystylus wrote:the most important to me seems the strange upside down-ness of the drum rack mapping, but i'm guessing this is done so 1-16 runs like a synth from C1, top left to bottom right.. maybe this could be an option to be flipped.. ?

Curious to hear if any of you are using multiple PadKontrols in one setup?
oh, and if you have time, do feel free to spread the good word on the Korg Forums, too.
Merry xmas to you too!

can someone tell me how to set lives preferences for windows xp? I downloaded the manual set everything up like it says, live is recieving midi because I can still play drum racks but not of the mackie functions work? I have everything set to default as it says in the manual and in live In from midi yoke 1 and 2 are enabled for track. Anyone have any advice?
also mackiecontrol is set as a controlsurface with In from midi yoke 3 selected.

Just realised as well that my keyboard now conflicts with the padkontrol as i'm using the padkontrol to launch clips in the main is it possible to change the outputs from it (or can you direct me to a MAX for idiots resource that i can do it myself)
I've tried changing the Midi channel but this doesn't seem to make any difference to the midi channel output on....
My knobs also are unrecognised as well as the freely assignable buttons according to the picture on the instructions....
Help?
Cheers
