Issue: Live 6

Post by blackrain » Sun Dec 23, 2007 1:04 am

error: The preset could not be loaded. it is probably broken.

also another one reads :(filename) could not be read ( it may be corrupt)

now this is the first issue i have had, i went into live and wanted to look through the library i clicked on my clips and most of them will not drag n drop etc making it so i can not use it.

i attempted to install live update 6.0.10 to see if it fixed vit but didnt.

btw i have 6.0.1 , 6.0.5, and 6.0.10 installed will this create issues?
manual said nothing about uninstalling previous version of live.... how should i go about this guys you help would be much appriciated.

:):) matt

I had an issue like this recently, couldnt use live at all.

I had to uninstall all versions of live and then reinstall them all from when i first bought it to the latest.

Make sure you take copies of all your presets and files first though
Dell Dimension 9100 Desktop, Win XP SP2 Home, Soundblaster Audigy 7.1 Soundcard,2GB Ram , 400 GB Hard Drive, Live 5, M-Audio O2 Midi Keyboard

Also run Reason 3 with no issues.

i know your problem... you have the Live 7 Packs installed i can tell because of the Folders with the BPM... that's a 7 thing.

go to your preferences and uninstall the live packs you see and then search for packs on your machine (it will then reinstall your 6 packs)

then, go to www.ableton.com/livepacks and make sure you download 6 compatible packs only.
MacBook Pro T7600 / OS X 10.5.7 / Ableton Suite 8.0.2 / Peak Pro XT 6.1.1 / ReMOTE 37SL
