Arrrgghhh env drawing prob and start arrow

Post by krikor » Wed Jul 28, 2004 11:34 pm

Seems that something has been changed, in live 3 i was used to zoom at different level to redraw some env very precisely but still on the grid, in live 4 it's not possible anymore, you can only do it to the 16th or without grid at all (which is cool)... this is a major problem cause i use this fonction a lot during my live sets.
The Arrow in the edit window of clip cannot be moved without pushing option or alt while in drawing mode, it alos a problem during a live set...

for the first point: yes, you can draw precisely at any level, you'll need to zoom in/out. the more you zoom in, the smallest values you're allowed (i managed to got to 1/64th, but i'm sure it can be smaller). use Ctrl-1 or Ctrl-2 (Cmd for mac) to set the grid resolution you want (Ctrl-3 is for triplet grid). if you want to turn grid off, click on the value, it becomes greyed.
then for second point, i think i read somewhere that ableton want to make the playhead behaviour a choice in the preferences, but it's not as easy as it seems. a lot of users have complained about it (for me, i prefer it as it is now).
