Cudos to DHL!

I just got a package containing some christmas present we had ordered 2 weeks ago. Today is Sunday!

While it took quite long to arrive I have to give BIG cudos to DHL for really trying hard to get everything out in time before christmas. The guy who usually delivers our packages had a flu last week already and he was still sniffing today and still does his job on a sunday. Normally they do not deliver on sundays and even the fact that they regulary deliver on saturdays without asking for any extra fees is quite a great service compared to other companies.

+1 when i had my live 5 boxed edition shipped to me, the company was actually 7 days late with the boxed edition because they ran out of stock. then the employee from mtlc.net told me that because i was cool and patient that he upgraded me to dhl for free and i would see my live 5 next day before noon.

dhl pulls through and gives me a call to tell me that they just dropped off the package. then the guy from mtlc also give me a call.

never have i gotten a call from fedex or ups to tell me my package is there. dhl can cost a bit more but in critical situations, they can pull through.

In Germany DHL usually is among the cheaper offers for normal sized packages, because it's a company belonging to german Deutsche Post AG which is largely owned by the goverment still since it was the govermental postal service once and had a monopoly.

I ordered a new computer on the 14th that was supposed to arrive to me by the 18th. The tracking for the DHL next day shipment says that the box arrived at the DHL facility on the 18th but they have not delivered it to me. I called to find out about it and they say that my computer is "lost". Sorry but I won't use them again.
