vst custom folder change = crash

surely this was the most obviously wrong thing to do, but i changed my vst custom folder in live preferences to the applications folder (running leopard) and it not only crashed live, but now, when trying to run live, it stops responding when doing its initial scan while booting. Any help?

Hi,

You should trash the Preferences file, and restart Live. The file should be found here:

* Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\your user name\Application Data\Ableton\Live x.xx\Preferences
* Mac OS X: /Library/Preferences/Ableton

yeah, i just moved the preferences file out of the folder and everything was fixed. yippee! regardless, thanks for the help.
