Hi all !
Live 7.0.1 crashes randomly with big arrangements, lots of automation, loads of plugins. (Next steps : i will cut out all plugins from the *known problems with plugins* - sticky list)
I thought maybe we could (re-)introduce some kind of Bug Reporting Feature into Live 7.0.1. When it crashes, it dumps an exception trace / whatever, which can be posted at a special forum / thread. Maybe also an upload template where one is asked specific questions about setup / machine-specs...
This could ease up things for developers and users alike.

I'm using a custom built pc with
2x Opteron 246 (AMD64), 2GHz
2GB RAM (2x 1GB)
(Motherboard from TYAN)
gfx: NVIDIA 6600 GT
sfx: MOTU Ultralite
os: WXP SP2, all hotfixes
and (bought today) Live 7.0.1
Problems (random crashes) started, when trying to play my 'old' (Live 6.0.7) arrangements, which are kinda long (> 7min), have 15-something tracks, a ****load of plugins (mostly those from live itself) and a few vst's sprinkled here and there... i also use impulse, sampler and operator quite a lot.
However, when Live crashes, I only get the appcompat.txt (from WXP I guess) and (I only just noticed) a rather detailed dump, which i unfortunately cannot save anywhere... does someone have experience with these things on windows ? I also found that the Log.txt from Live does not have any details on a crash or anything.
I will try and contact support with this info, thanks for the tip.

ive had this problem, but it crashed regularly, especially when dropping clips into session- it would slow right down and activity monitor would say that live is consuming 100% cpu(sometimes 105%) then it would just give up, and thats with no instruments or effects added and just a few clips loaded. ive gone back to version 7 and all is fine now, ive contacted ableton about it so will just wait and see what happens.
