Multi user problem on WinXP

Problem :-

WinXp Home with 3 users (me, wife, kids)
Boot PC - log in as me
Start Live 4 - Boogie on!
Wife enters room - Switch user.
Wife checks email - writes the contents of Moby Dick as a reply while I hover around.
Wife logs off.
I log on again.
Live only has the title bar and the menu visible - menu works so i can save the set etc but rest of the screen is missing (can see the desktop).

Obviously it's not working they way you want it to. But, have you tried hitting F11? If you go full screen view then back, it should fix all views.

Side note, I've never run my music applications on a PC that wasn't dedicated to music software. I think that's asking a bit much out of software that uses so much resources of a PC. Just my opinion.

hmmm ; not everyone has the resources to have a dedicated music PC. I compose music as a hobby. I have spent a lot of money to make the PC I have good at everything - not just audio (all of my family uses this PC). Live is available to buy for anyone. It did not say, when I bought it, that it was for professional musicians only. I have been using Cubase for many years and I have never found any problem with a released version.
I have Cubase SL currently installed and it does not disappear when WE switch users. SO I think live has a problem. I'm sure Cubase SL uses as much resources as Live.
Don't get me wrong, I love Live and I want to get rid of Cubase now i've got Live with VSTis, but this forum is for posting problems, and for me, this is a problem.

I agree. And to support your concern.... I'd guess ( from my experiences ) that Cubase uses more resources than LIVE. As I mentioned in my previous post, you obviously did find a display bug.

I only pointed out my thoughts about running music apps on home PCs because for as long as I've been doing this computer music thingy, I've seen so many people try and run these apps on far less than desireable PCs. You obviously have a PC that can run it. Please don't think that I only think professionals should use this software. I hope you accept my appologies.
