This is gonna be hard to explain, but here goes....
1. Start with a Clean Project, drop in a VSTi (such as Imposcar) on an open midi channel.
2. Select a preset patch for it. Select one with the Freq knob at 50%.
3. Start recording a midi clip.
4. Stop recording, now edit the controller data with automation parameters in a clip view (lets change the Freq).
5. Now open up the Imposcar VSTi Panel and move that Freq Knob all the way up. This will keep the automation going relative to the new knob position.
6. Save the song.
7. Close the song.
8. Open the song, and now the knob position that you want it to start with (all the way up, because that is what you changed in step 5) is back to whatever the last setting was.
Its hard to explain, but I don't know how to always keep the settings the same in each clip between saves.
