I'm having a weird problem where I get an occasional glitch (from pushing the CPU to far in Live itself, or from just having too many applications running while using Live, etc, etc), but that's not the issue -- I'm fine with glitches when I'm pushing things too far. The problem is that after a glitch, quite often (but not every time) my audio interface's latency seems to get messed up. It sounds like it's stuck in some sort of high latency "mode" or something. After that happens when I hit key on my controller, it's almost an entire second before Live responds. The only way to fix it is to open preferences and adjust the sample rate, buffer, or switch the driver type from core audio to no audio and back again.
Maybe it's just Live that's buggy? I dunno. All I know is that it worked fine on my Dell.
I'm using a Presonus Firebox on a 20" iMac w/Leopard and 1GB RAM (another 1GB on the way)
Any insight is welcome.
