well, GMT is the zero point, but that's a hang over from the empire - it should start at the international dateline and everything else is minus!

so...only 4 years to the end of the mayan calendar....I wonder what that means - it will either be the end of the world or it will be the final end to end of the world prophecies...I predict the latter

in 2008, do people still get around in cars or do they all use personal spaceships?

most of all, did Live finally get OSC support?

Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

I got that from the name "Leeds quiet man" - i thought you might be quietly from Leeds.

Not all brits are pompus though,

Me for example - definatly not pompus or sentimental for that matter - just pointing out that 0 longitude is actually the 0 point nad therefore the true new year.

This means that all western people are lazy,

&

all eastern people are over keen

for people who dont understand:

everyone west of britain like america, brazil, canada & argentina are lazy.

All eastern people inc the rest of EU, russia, auss, India, Japan & china are all over keen to get the new year over with.

all boils down to th efact that everyone east of UK is looking forward to the new year & America is dreading the election.

Older, wiser, fatter, lazier, more comfortable with my general lethargy, mediocrity and apathy.

Happy New Year to all of you.

I hope you have a great year and that the creative juices flow enough for you to make some wonderful music.

We had a great time with friends last night. Unfortunately we had a very dense fog creeping around so instead of seeing thousands of fireworks from a nearby hill we only saw a dozend. Even the big firework from a nearby shopping-megamall could only be heard but not be seen. 8O Bad luck...

I hope your right, all prophesies turning out to be complate bollocks might help show some people the ..um..light.

I stayed in and watched C4's Monty Python night. They showed the documentary about all the religious furore that surrounded the Life of Brian when it was released (still banned in some places) then the Life of Brian itself followed by the Meaning of Life. It's like those films were made for this era they felt so relevant.

Anyways, happy new year everybody, let's hope 2008 brings a little clarity and sanity to the world.

Cheers
