Post by afone1977 » Wed Jan 02, 2008 1:38 pm

i paid for it, so i want it to work NOW !!!

i don't paid the update just to become a beta tester,

and i m busy to try to work with live 7

just throw away your windows copy and try os x... i'm sure it will help.
moreover, check your vst plugins, they are often the first crash cause.

the only thing that change since i use live 7 is UAD-1 4.9 that resolve UAD mono plugin bug in live,

and live 7 still crash when none UAD plugin are running,

so please dont argue in a MAC vs PC way ( or anything like this)...

GUI issue ?

rendering / consolidate clip issues when in play mode (i know live need to stop the play to render) ?

play looped tracks in arrangement view issue ?

i don't know and i can't reproduce those bugs,

but live 7.0.1 crashed too often (last nigth 6 time on a period of 5 hours) and for many reason that i can't explain,

I was using vista (dual boot with XP but I mainly used vista due to a driver problem which is now solved) then Nebulae posted a thread about XP SP3 and I downloaded it and it seems to be really noticibly faster and I am also finding now that I am back on XP with SP3 Live 7 seems a lot more stable than it was

it is still definitely not as stable as Live 6 was but it is a lot better

maybe SP3 will help? it is a beta though, but so far I find it is better than it was before

i will test it (and surely keep it) ,but i 'm still thinking ableton needs to debug live7 in priority,

i'm not used to be an angry consumers, and i was allways happy with live 4-5-6 but with live 7 the only think i want to say to ableton for the first time is : "stop pissing me with your so buggy software"

they obviously needs money ( and i understand that each year they need to earn money) but live 7.0.1 is the worst release i saw since i buy software

I have Live 7 running on Xp sp2 and it's been very stable for me.
Had 2 crashes so far, both when changing a preset, on the same freeware plugin.

I guess i'm another of the lucky ones. 8)

I think it depends what you're doing too - I think the new instruments have caused a bit of trouble - but again, in XP SP3 I was doing a set today with a few tracks of tension with no probs - i wasnt getting that under vista

didn't find any way to download sp3 beta ...

i'm waiting for the official release,

i have also notice live7 can crashed when just playing my project,

hour glass appear on my mouse cursor, "options" (file, edition,...) on the top of live 's windows disappear and live crashes and don't respond anymore ...

then the only think i can do is rebooting my window

I am not using any new instruments but still managed to crash Live 7.01 several times already. It is specifically unstable with Midi stuff. I did not buy it yet because I am waiting for the first update. Does anyone know if the 299/329 Euro prices from LE stay the same after January 15th?
