Alesis Photon X25 midi in problems

Anyone here got their midi in port working?

Im using OSX 10.5.1 but I think this problem has been since 10.4.10 or something.

The ports are showing up without any numbers. Before it was port 1 & port 2. Now both of them show up like port () . And I cant send any midi through the physical midi in. (The photon keyboard sends fine)

I suceessfully sent some sysex from my Ion synth to the Elektron C6 sysex prog. So the port should work outside Live.

And yeah. I´ve done the firmware thing, several times.

Dont know if anybody else got this problem with the photon but heres a what im doing to get around this.

I use a program called midi patchbay and patch the midi from my Ion to a IAC bus and its working flawlessly.

Something is surely wrong here. Im monitoring the midi from the Ion. And it looks all good. Standard midi note on/off. But it doesnt come up in live unless passed through the midi patchbay into a IAC bus. Strange..
