Live 7 with Vanguard on OSX - Regular Crashes

Hi,

Live 7 has been crashing regularly when I try to play a project containing Vanguard by Refx.

I can open projects containing Vanguard, and play them as long as any Vanguard tracks are disabled. However, as soon as i try to play a Vanguard track, Live crashes.

This didn't happen when I was using Live 6.

I am using a white MacBook OSX 10.4.1 with 2GB RAM.

Has anyone else had similar experiences? Or is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening?

Bump, scratches and mac os leopard blackscreens...

Live 7 keeps crashing on the regular, 3 times since yesterday, and I´m only using built-in instruments as operator and simpler. I haven´t figured it out yet if it´s Live 7 or Leopard that is unstable. Probably both. Live 6 and Tiger where smooth as hell.

This is happening to me under Live 7 as well, but never happened under live 6.

Vanguard seems to reliably crash when Live arrives at the midi sequence which is played by Vanguard. It's a particular track though, not all of my tracks containing Vanguard cause problems.
I did notice one strange bug that seemed to foreshadow problems with that particular track. Vanguard's GUI stopped responding properly ie froze a few times while I was tweaking it. I shut the GUI and opened it again, and the problem vanished...for a bit.
Later in the same session, that particular track started to crash Live.
That was yesterday. Today, just arriving at that midi sequence in that track causes Live to freeze, then crash.

I'm thinking about deleting that instance of Vanguard then opening it again, I'll let y'all know how that goes.

This seemed to work! Save your patch that your using, delete Vanguard, then load it up again.

Hi trucker,

do you still have problems with using the vanguard under Leopard and Live 7.0.1? Are you using the VST oder AU versions and have you updated to the latest release of Vanguard 1.7.2??

I have just upgraded to the new version of Vanguard, and I have also replaced each instance of Vanguard as suggested by Psykid.

That seems to be working for me so far.

I am using Vanguard with Leopard and am having no problems at all.
