I am the only person with a audio track crash??? ( fixed )

Hi I have spoken to a few friends of mine who use live.... we can not find anybody else with this crash.

I am on os x 10.4.11, ableton can not reproduce this crash. I have talked with support.

Please speak up, if you have this crash. Its really annoying.

macbook pro core 2 dou, 2 gigs of ram, 7200 rpm HD Live 7!!!

I need some more people with this crash, so ableton will fix.

just so everybody knows...

Ableton is definitely trying their best to help me with this.

I just got another email from them.

ThankS guys. I will email you back with the results later today.

But still, does anybody else on os x have this problem? Its so weird its only me.

This is my only problem with live. Everything else is so amazing

The L7 upgrade is killer. I can't believe this is happening to my copy...

Right, well, its a bug. Ableton will need to write code to fix it. But it only effects users who have audio inputs turned off, and it might even still be limited to only those on os x or mac computers. I don't do any real outside recording of vocals, or guitars because I am just making electronica, and I had my inputs turned off to save cpu. but, I record from track to track inside Live all the time. because I work with lots of audio, and I do all my own sound design including drums, and things of this nature. That means, I am always deleting audio tracks. so this bug was effecting me. below is a copy and paste of the last email support sent to me

" Tech support "

Thanks for the video. Does that also happen if the 'audio from' section
of audio track 1 and 2 gets set to a valid input first? In the video it
looks like the inputs are grayed out, which means the current audio
inputs are not available. Perhaps Live has problems to end tasks with
non-existent audio drivers.

3 other things you should try:

1. Make sure Live is NOT running. Trash the 'Index' folder which can be
found here:

/[your username]/Library/Caches/Ableton/Index/

2. Repair your disk permissions using the Apple disk utility

3. You seem to use an aggregate device. Please try to remove the
aggregate device in the OSX AudioMidiSetup.

Now try again and let me know what happened.
