Any idea ableton on the wait time for uprades via paypal

Post by Ross Kemp » Mon Jan 07, 2008 12:20 pm

Any idea ableton on the wait time for uprade to live 7 from 6 via paypal
link, as i am still waiting since 3rd and no reply email yet, i understand your
xmas new year workflow. but an idea would help instead of me waiting by my computer for weeks, as i have heard it is taking, i have uninstalled 6 as i wanted a clean installation on my system so now i seriously need to get my work started back up, time is money and all that!

thanks for any direction, i am now going to try and phone, if i can get the number to work.

I have now payed ableton via paypal about 4pm uk time, everything has gone through at my end, but not rescieved any download link yet, has anybody else payed this way, and if so could it come at anytime or will i now have to wait until tomorrow, what is the usual method for this judging off others who where in same situation.

thanks guys/girls - just getting impatient and wanting to get producing.

They won't write me back either!

Post by terndrick » Mon Jan 07, 2008 7:43 pm

I've emailed Ableton 3 times over the past 2 weeks and have yet to get a single reply either! I'm trying to take advantage of the student price, but no one there will write me back. Did things work out smoothly for you after you called them? I'm in the US but considering a call over to Germany...

thanks!

If your money has gone from paypal they say it should be within the week due to the high volume to proscess and send out, but we should be of highest priority if money has already been paid, understandable, (i suppose they could get more staff, to do such proscessing!!!!!????),
i will let you know if it do get up and running this week!

As i formentioned it is understandable, with the ammount of emails they must rescieve, so i suppose with a call if it important, it bring you to their attention, they do seem to try as best as they can , but emails can build up at home never mind with such a corporation as ableton .

totally not acceptable in my mind. took almost 2 weeks to get my educational forms processed, and now waiting on the serial after paying with paypal.

If small rinky dink shareware companies can send out serials automatically upon payment through paypal, ableton surely can.

2-3 weeks to buy a product is not only unacceptable, but pretty much kills any impulse purchase decisions.
