hello, I am currently experimenting with tossing some riffs from tracks into my live set. I am using Reaktor for the instrument. I have it loaded on a midi channel in Live, i enable the record button so Reaktor will recieve midi data from my controller. I then midi learn the knobs I want to use.....everything is great. But then when I play back, everytime it loops, it is playing back what I was modulating...but i did not hit record on the clip. Wondering how I can just have reaktor recieve the midi but not keep recording it within the clip envelopes. I thought record enable was to just play, then you have to actually hit record in the clip for it to store the data.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think what you need to do is set up another midi track and send the output of that track to the reaktor patch, then send your modulations through the new midi track. You definitely don't need to have the reaktor track record enabled to have it receive midi messages. I think this should solve your problem.

thank you so much that worked awesome
I have one more issue I am trying to resolve.
I would like to send program changes to this ensemble. The patch name is preceded by the numbers 5:5. I assumed this meant "bank 5, program 5". so i made a dummy clip like i use to send program changes to my external fx units, and tried it out. this isnt working.
Do i need to set up something with snapshots in reaktor, im thinking the program change has to happen above or before the ensemble, in the master section of reaktor. so I would maybe just save a snapshot of each patch im using, and program it from there.
definately not as easy as I thought it would be.....or straightforward rather.
thanks in advance
