Envelopes in arrangement view are diificult to automate with

Is it just me, or is it completely absurd that there's no way to punch in exact numerical values for automation nodes in the track. Like track volume for instance, if I want the track volume to automate from 0 db to -1 db, I double click to make my nodes, and even while holding down CTRL and dragging, there's no physical way to put the node at exactly -1db!! It has to be like -.53db or some bullshit... I hope i'm extremely retarded and there's a painfully obvious way to create exact envelopes with ease.

If you zoom in vertically on the track and press control you can get like 0.01db increments, so going to 1db is quite possible.
