I did understand what you were saying. It had serious flaws. I pointed them out.
do you even like music?any creative(non technical) thoughts in your head?
Oh please.
Suit #1: I mean, have you got any insight as to why a bright boy like this would jeopardize the lives of millions?
Suit #2: No, sir, he says he does this sort of thing for fun.

Again, there's quite obviously no way to do this in real time. All Live's effects work in real time - that's why Beat Repeat can't pitch up, for instance!
Noisetone- just curious as to why this cant be done. Do you know the theory behind this ? or maybe have a post explaining this?

..as far as the wish list for improvement of effects or the addition of new ones goes: we definitely will come up with new FX and with better versions of the old ones. But it is a bit tricky: If we spend a lot of time e.g. creating a great modulation delay, some users will say: yeah, great. But others will say: well, I already use SchranzDelay3000 for this and it is better and for free, so why did you guys not user your time for making ( insert: arranger crossfades, better MIDI editing, sourround, a wave editor, multiple screen support, better file/project management, ...here).
We have to try to find a balance here, and we will never be able to satisfy all needs.
And it is unlikely that we will ever be able to compete feature wise with products form companies who started working on their hosts ten years earlier then us and now have the potential development resources of a big computer manufacturer available.... Instead we try to keep our small world nice and easy to use and comer up now and then with a hopefully good new idea.

However, we hired a pretty good new DSP developer and this will speed up the implementation of new devices or the improvements of existing ones.

So, keep your wishes coming, and all comments including critical ones are as usual highly welcome.

Cheers, Robert

beat repeat:

well, it cannot pitch up the signal imideately because this would require using parts of the signal before it actually arrives inside the FX. However, it could do so from the start of the first repetition. There are some more things that could be added to or improved in Beat Repeat. So, once we decide to do this, we will rethink the transpose up issue again.

Cheers, Robert

Since i distort my sounds and crank up the reverb so much i have no complaints :P

As a newcomer (working as a programmer atm.) though, i am pretty pleased with your way of prioritizing.

the only thing i really miss is a bit more grouping between the stuff..
Maybe this could work:

In arrangement group the tracks to certain groups, and then have a small
combobox to choose a filter or no filter, so for instance only drum tracks
show up.. (i know its a bit smelling of FL but its still something)

dunno just a stupid suggestion. I am at work atm so i don't have live just splonged to my head 8O
Maybe you're working on better solutions?
