How to scrub an unwarped track?

Post by wavecycle » Tue Jan 08, 2008 8:20 am

Is there a way of scrubbing through, or somehow moving though a track when WARP is not switched on? Really silly otherwise.

Thanks

afaik you can't

Without warping, Live has no reference in the file other than the start point.

So the answer is to enable warp.

Angstrom has written a good thread on how to enable warp with no effect on the sound (short version: use the Set tempo as the clip's "original tempo" and use beats or repitch)

I'll try it

Thanks I'll try that.

I have tried your suggestion before, but I was using the "COMPLEX" setting, and even though the warped tempo was the same as the current, it messed up the sound on some of my tracks. Weird.

Cheers
