On January 31, 2008, Ableton's West Coast Product Specialist Laura Escudé will host special guests Brian LeBarton and Jason Chung. The floor is also open to any members that would like to do a short presentation, so please email Laura <laura.escude at ableton.com> for more information.

Brian LeBarton is perhaps best known for his work as a keyboardist with Beck including touring the critically acclaimed "Guero", playing on and touring his current release, "The Information" and collaborating with Beck on the soundtrack and score for the Paramount Pictures film "Nacho Libre" starring Jack Black. And before touring with Beck he made his mark on the road with singer Nikka Costa, indie singer/songwriter Peter Walker and EMI recording artist Adam Cohen. He has also lent his talents in the studio to: Jewel, The Watson Twins (Jenny Lewis with The Watson Twins), Gene Simmons, Nikka Costa, Sia (Zero 7), Silversun Pickups and Ken Andrews (Failure, Year of the Rabbit) to name but a few.

L.A.-based producer Nosaj Thing (Jason Chung) is a sound innovator—he has received Artist-to-Watch accolades from XLR8R, remixed Daedulus and Elliot Lipp, won Plastic Little/Turntable Lab’s remix contest featuring MF Doom, and won L.A.’s prestigious Project Blowed beat battle. He has shared the stage with the likes of Sixtoo, Architecture in Helsinki, DJ Krush, Z-Trip, Free the Robots, Eliott Lipp, D-Styles, Edit, and Daedelus. He's a staple and a crowd pleaser at L.A.'s underground hip-hop good time, Low End Theory. Comparisons run along with Ratatat, DJ Shadow, and Boards of Canada. A survey of his own record collection will turn up pieces from Aphex Twin, Stereolab, Radiohead, Daft Punk and Eric Satie.
