I saw him wearing a trench at this wetball tournament. Lots of wet balls.

Yeah, don't forget that this is a PRO only thread.

Anywhoo, I'm off to do some parallel new york compression on my hi hat line after reducing it to 8 bit because I heard thats what pro's do to make their shit tight.

I do not know if this is a joke or not. 99% of vst compressors do not even reach new york so to anyone that advised you to compress your hi hat down to there is very wrong. parallel new york compression is barely felt yet even heard by any human ear and is something that should be avoided on any record rock or techno.

(no offense Olga, i'm joking)

Actually that Sheena Easton is quite a funny and cool person as it seems:

HAHAHAHAHA Look who's not a pro. if you WERE a pro, you'd know that's why they call it Parallel New York Compression... it doesn't HAVE go to new york! It goes to areas which are parallel to it! Please can some PRO's answer my question??

I've got to go mic a bass amp and run my vengeance drum loop thru it, record it with a dictaphone, then bring it back into my liquid mix vintage compressor and run it into a mackie VLZ send/return. I was told by a pro that this will def give my drums some body and a truly analogue feel.

No, you need to place your belly or buttock in between the amp and the mic to get some body on your recordings. Whatever PRO has given you the hint must be some skinny wannabe who doesn't even manage to kill more than one bag of chips per week. How is he gonna know the difference between digital and analog if he doesn't eat chips?

With Strut, Sheena showed a more aggressive and assertive side while still maintaining a raw sex appeal.

Sheena Easton. Strut. 9 -5 (Morning Train). And Sugar Walls. Goddess.

In Reason you can make a "pro" sound if you know how to engineer and program and work with sounds. I think almost all DAW can sound "Pro" from Fruity Loops - Logic to Live....
It is all up to you and your ears, these are just the tools to work by. Live alone is enough to make and bounce to cd and to the production line.
