I have Ableton 7, and I'm currently putting together a live set to take on the road. It's nearly finished, and I've reached the stage where I'm assigning tweaks etc to the knobs on my MIDI keyboard.
My question relates specifically to assigning a controller to tempo. I have several tempo changes in the set. Luckily I've been able to pin most of the tempo-changes to scenes and disguise the jumps with effects such as global pitch-shifting.
However I've left one gradual accelerando in, from 72BPM to 132. This serves both as the transition from one song to the next (72 is half the tempo of the previous song) and the introduction to the new one (the rest of the song should be 132). The change to 72 is automated as part of a scene-change but I want to speed up to 132 manually.
I want to be able to assign this accelerando to the mod-wheel on my keyboard for simplicity's sake - the more I have my hands off the mouse the better. However I'm having trouble getting those exact tempi into the MIDI map. Right-clicking on the tempo, choosing "edit MIDI map" and using the pane on the left only lets me do roundabout changes.
So the main question is: is it possible to edit the ranges of a MIDI map using the numbers on the computer keyboard? Because that's what I want. I don't mind having to edit text-based config files if that's what it takes.
Apologies for essay-like length.

No. You cant.
