Ableton, care to share when 4.02 might be released?

Post by EnjoyRC » Tue Aug 10, 2004 4:36 pm

Just curious... there have been a few bugs pointed out since it's release. I also read in one thread that you had to rewrite a portion of LIVE to fix something. I realize that takes time.
MacBook Pro (MacOS 13.0.1) i9 Processor, 32gb RAM, 4tb SSD
(STUDIO I/O) MOTU UltraLite mk5 (w/ADA8200), (LIVE I/O) Behringer X Air XR18
Ableton Live Suite 11 (Live performances), Studio One 5 (Studio Stem Creation)

Hi EnjoyRC,

to announce a "possible" date is not really a date but we hope to release it in about 12 to 14 days (without guarantee)

regards,
Alex

Hi Alex

Accepting that there is no guarantee 4.02 will appear in 12-14 days, are you able to say whether it is 'hoped" the Output configuration bug in the OS 9 version will be fixed in 4.02 ??

As you probably appreciate, this bug makes using Live 4 as a ReWire slave a very limited experience as all tracks must go to the ReWire Master via outputs 1 and 2.

Thanks for any feed back

Cheers

Murray

I hope and think it will be fixed within Live 4.0.2. I will let you now in your corresponding thread as soon as I can make a solid statement.

Thanks Alex

Your response is much appreciated.

Anyone who hangs out in the Cubase Forums would know what I mean when I say that Steinberg could do well to take a leaf out of Abletons book in terms of keeping users informed !!!

Regards

Murray :D

I also hope the Reason rewire bug will be fixed in this update...still, props to all the Abletons for such an outstanding piece of software. :)

You know what is awesome....Normally when we don't hear from them, I feel that means that good things are right around the corner....

Can't say that about other companies, normally when you don't hear from them it means.....well, you don't hear from them.

But if past experience is anything, not hearing from Ableton just means that they are too busy, and that what we need and desire is right around the corner.

Know what I mean?
