Follow action bug

Post by serotoninsteve » Tue Aug 10, 2004 11:41 am

Hello,
in the 1st track I´ve 3 audioclips playing the same stuff but using the follow action to trigger each the next one and on the 2th track I´ve a simple audioclip in loop mode.
Trigger the clip on the 2th track, then trigger the 1st clip on track 1, the 1st clip stays in sync but until the 1st follow action it is triggered a little too early and comes out of sync!
When you retrigger one off the clips by hand they come back in sync and if you trigger the first scene directly by the scene launch button they stay in sync too!
I´ve recorded this in the arrangement and really it is triggered too early!
This makes the follow actions useless for the moment so I hope this can be fixed!

Can somebody confirm this?

Greetings!8)

Yes and no!
Clip quantization was set to global, bug was there.
Clip quantization set to bar, bug disappeared but a new bug appeared:

Now my first 2 bar clip plays for 2 bars as ajusted in follow actions, stops for 1 bar and then triggers the 2th clip and so on for the 2th.....!

I already mailed a small Live document to the abletons that they can check this out, but got no answer until now!

Hi Steve,

sorry for not jumping in earlier. Our support told me that you had problems sending the Live Set. Could you be so nice and try to send it to me directly (email below).

Kind regards, Bernd.

Thanx for checking that, it happened to me the first time in a live situation!
Could you already find out something about or fix it?

Greetings!

Steve
