Hello community,
I'm hoping I can get some help with this one... The basic issue is: when I run Live as my normal user account (unprivileged), the ReWire engine does not start. When I run Live when I'm logged into the local administrator account, ReWire starts up normally (as seen on the splash screen)... WTF?
So, let me start by saying - I've had this problem for awhile now (since 6.0.10 came out and I installed it), but brushed it off as an annoyance that I'll fix at a later time. Well - that later time is now, and I've been trying to get this working...
**Setup**
I have just re-installed a prisitine build of XP w- SP2 on my box...
Running Live 6.0.10
Running Reason 3 (trying to ReWire as slave)
Audio interface: M-Audio FW410 in ASIO mode, with latest firmware & drivers
MIDI input: M-Audio Axiom 25 w- latest drivers
I've even tried adding my user account to the local Administrators group, and running Live again. But, still the ReWire engine will not load (it doesn't appear on the Splash Screen).
If I run Live as the default local administrator account, ReWire loads and all is well. I need to have this working inside of my regular account. I realize this is not the way most people run there XP machines, but it IS the way people SHOULD run their XP machines... And Live shouldn't be crippled by this setup, as Live prefs are stored in user sopace anywayz.
Any suggestions out there? Is the only instance of ReWire located at C:\Windows\System32\ReWire.dll ??? Or does Live have it's own .dll somewhere?
Any suggestions would be appretiated...
