I also noticed that changing Audio Buffers to below 128 samples pronounces this problem and further alters sound. My guess is that Plugin Buffers of all (quasi external) Suite instruments are set to be equal to Audio Buffers or are set to a value around 128 samples which leads to problems when playing fast succession of Midi notes into these instruments.
The official explanation to this oddity was:Timur wrote:Whenever Simpler/Sampler play a note that is shorther than the sample that is being played by the note and the next note is following the last one without a gap/break in between then the next note will be delayd by exactly 1 ms / 44 samples. This happens both during a clip and it happens when a clip is looping a clip where the last note end at the clip end and the first note begins at the clip start.
The very first note of a clip is never delayed and as soon as there is a gap/break in between notes the next note will not be delayed. So a single clip can have both delayed and not-delayed notes which makes it impossible to compensate this delay by using Track Delay.
I think this is a bug that needs to be fixed for all those people who want to use the Suite instruments consistently. I'm not a Suite user myself but happen to have stumbled upon this when I was checking a problem with Plugin Buffers.Matthias wrote:Hi Timur,
if the voice management runs out of voices, the oldest one is faded out in 1ms = 44smpls @ 44.1kHz sr. this can cause a delay of one ms. it should help to increase the number of voices and|or to disable retrigger.
