Best website for free loops?

Post by Collieman » Wed Jan 16, 2008 6:46 pm

Hi All,

I was wondering if someone could point me to a good site for free loops to (ab)use in Live.

Thanks in advance for your response.

http://www.beathive.com/ (I think you need to register)

http://www.icompositions.com/ (I think you need to register, I just had a quick look and couldn't see the free loops section but it is there somewhere)

http://www.musicradar.com/ (you need to regsiter, not many loops at the moment but there should be a pretty big library soon as they've only just launched the site and I think they'll be adding all the stuff they've put on their magazine cover discs)

http://www.freeloops.co.uk/ (small free download packs, or you can buy all of their previous free loops for $21USD - 1.7Gb compressed)

http://www.acidfanatic.com/ (small free download packs, or you can buy all of their loops for $50USD - 1.6Gb compressed)

Try that one:
www.icantbebotheredtocreatemyownmusic.com

No offence but Live is very different to Reason and Acid where one brings in loads of pre-made loops everyone uses in the same way.

If you extract loops yourself or even better, create them or ask a musician to record some, the music's quality and originality will be 1000 times better
